Mamadou Ba (Campos) from Senegal and Pierre Degive (Pierrot) from Belgium are the founders of the CamposKids Association.
Campos, at the age of 7, fell from a tree while picking fruit. A fall where he had his head impaled by a tree trunk on the ground in the shape of a point. Recognized as dead, the people of the village wanted to bury him quickly but his mother opposed it. After a long period of coma, he came back to life.
The chance he had was meeting two Spanish ladies who took him in. They educated him at the Joseph Faye Catholic College in Oussouye. He underwent rehabilitation sessions. His two godmothers paid for his studies, he attended Cheikh Anta University in Dakar. In 2010, he left for Spain to continue his studies and deepen his knowledge of the language of Don Quixote.
Pierrot. In December 2022, was looking for accommodations in Senegal for two nights and found Campos camp. This is how he discovered behind this disabled person a long story full of burdens but with lots of visionary projects.
After hearing Campos’ story, Pierre made the decision to help him. From that moment, the two friends began to work together to bring more luck to children in general and handicapped children in particular.
